Three decades of litigation and trial experience and fifteen years of experience as a mediator and an arbitrator, have prepared me to undertake the demanding job of the judge of the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles. I was raised in a family of judges. Both my father and grandfather were judges. The meaning of judicial temperament, fairness, and compassion were instilled in me from a young age. I learned how to be tough on those who deserved the firm hand of justice and to be compassionate to the victims of the crime. I have also learned how to be fair and unbiased, yet decisive to the parties in a dispute. As an officer of the court, I have always been committed to the highest ethical and professional standards. In my capacity as an arbitrator or a mediator, I have proved myself to be fair and unbiased. The fact that my colleagues have selected me to arbitrate or mediate hundreds of their cases is a testament to their trust and confidence in my capabilities and impartiality. I am a firm believer in community service. This has been a life long commitment and not just a passing phase. I have represented many indigent clients on a pro bono basis, and I have volunteered my services to the court system as a mediator and an arbitrator free of charge. I am a founding member of Iranian American Lawyers Association and its past president; I served as the chairperson of the Iranian American Sheriff’s Advisory Council; I am a past President and a member of the Board of Directors of Rancho Park Rotary Club; and, I am a former member of the Board of Directors of Southern California Mediation Association. I believe that my long and dedicated service as a litigator, an arbitrator and a mediator, combined with my many years of community service, make me qualified to become the next Judge of the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles.
